INSPECTION OF EQUIPMENT
When should fall protection equipment be inspected?
All fall protection equipment must undergo regular safety inspections. At least every six months, harness gear, equipment, ropes, and webbing elements should be inspected. Anchor points, static lines, and rail systems are inspected. Refer to the guidelines provided by the manufacturer. The inspection requirements will be outlined there. The frequency of inspections will need to be increased if you use fall arrest equipment in a corrosive environment.
