5 Simple Tips for Perfect Sun Protection While Outdoors

They protect your eyes from the harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays of the sun, which can cause serious eye problems, including cataracts, macular degeneration, and cancer. Choose sunglasses that block out at least 99% of UV rays. Wear your sunglasses year-round, even on cloudy days.

Choose light-colored clothing. Dark clothing absorbs more heat. Look for loose-fitting clothes as tight clothing doesn’t allow your skin to breathe, which can lead to heat rash and other problems.

Choose natural fabrics. Synthetic fabrics like polyester and nylon don’t allow your skin to breathe. Instead, opt for natural fabrics like cotton and linen. 

Look for upf50 clothing. UPF stands for ultraviolet protection factor. It’s a measure of how well a fabric protects your skin from the sun’s UV rays. 

5. Stay in Shade

Find a shady spot to spend time in, such as under a tree or umbrella. Also, stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water and taking breaks from the sun frequently. Stay in the shade whenever possible, and avoid the sun’s strongest rays, which are present between 10 am and 4 pm.
